Empanadas Every tasty empanada starts with the dough. In Latin Caribbean cooking you’ll come across two types of dough. One is simple flour dough much like a pie crust and the other is reddish yellow dough made with yucca. You can use either dough interchangeably, but for beginners, try the simple flour dough first.

Movie Review

This movie is called The Fast and the Furious. It is about a police officer who need to infiltrate car racers to investigate some problems. He needs to catch a man who steals cars and makes them so noone can recognize them. He has to race with these car racers to become one of them. Then he lost the race but then the police show up. Then, the bad guy ran away and hid his car in a parking garage. But the police knew him. So Brian the police officer went to get the car to make friends with the bad guy. After that, there was another race where the bad guy's friend lost and he had to bring in his car. The bad guy wanted to kill some of the other racers then the police guy went to defend the racers and help them. He was too late and the friends were killed. The policeman gave the car to the bad guy and told him to get lost. He stopped being a cop after that. He returned to being a car racer again.

My Opinion About Blogger

My opinion about blogger is that it serves to help students with computer skills as well as social skills. It allows us to stay connected with friends and family. This was a fun assignment that taught us how to use a new computer program which enabled us to create a web page of our own. This is a useful project that we will be able to use often in the future. A blog allows us to update our lives and opinions and keep our family and friends up to date with what is going on in our lives.

Childhood Memory

When I was a child I remember going with my family to the city where my grandmother lived. It was called Valledupar, in Colombia. When we arrived in Valledupar my cousin and my brother and I left to look for grapes but we got lost. My grandmother lived on a farm and there were many trees around her home. It was a big place so it was easy to get lost. When we finally found our way home and arrived back at my grandmothers house my parents were very angry and gave us trouble. They didn't let us leave for three days. But we had fun anyway. The three of us played soccer at her house for three days!

Traditional Colombian Foods

Traditional foods that you will find in Colombia include; tamales, arrroz con pollo, enpanadas, sancocho, ajiaco, and papas rellenas arepas de huevo arepas etc. My favorite Colombian food is enpanadas. Enpanadas are tortillas stuffed with rice, vegetables and your choice of meat.

Famous Festival in Colombia

One of the most famous carnivals in Colombia is the Carnival of Barranquilla which is a huge party where people of the city take to the streets. This festival is held 40 days before each Easter climaxing with 3 days (Saturday, Sunday & Monday) of parades, parties, music and dancing.
